answered.
Will wheel lights fit my wheels?
Yes. There is no ring size to order. The ring bolts to the brake dust shield behind the rotor, not to the rim, and you size it to your own dust shield and caliper clearance as you fit it. Every kit covers all four wheels, and nothing needs re-ordering when you change wheels. More on what size wheel lights you need.
Wheel lights and rim lights mean the same thing: a wheel light ring with LED strips that lights the wheel from behind. Because ours mount to the dust shield instead of the rim, they do not spin with the wheel and they stay put when you swap rims.
How hard is it to install wheel lights, and how do they work?
It is a brake job. At each wheel the wheel comes off, then the caliper and rotor, and the brackets get drilled into the dust shield. Plan on 2 to 4 hours with a jack, jack stands, hand tools and a drill. Read the wheel light installation guide before you order, and see how hard it is to install wheel lights for the full picture.
Once installed, each wheel has a wheel light ring on the brake dust shield behind the rotor, so the wheel lights up from behind. The wires run along the brake line to the front of the truck and connect to our wiring harness with wireless remote or a switched, fused circuit.
What do the rows and intensity names mean?
Standard and High Intensity are both double row. High Intensity uses a brighter chip, not more rows. Extreme runs five rows and Ultimate runs seven, the brightest we build. The higher your truck sits, the more output you want. See wheel light rows explained and which wheel light intensity you need.
Switchback or pure white?
Switchback runs white, then switches to a sequential amber sweep when you signal a turn, which means wiring into your turn signal circuit. Pure white puts every row into white. We build switchback two ways: quad row, with two white and two amber rows, and 6 row dual chip, where every chip carries both colors. Compare switchback vs pure white wheel lights.
What is the warranty, and can I return them?
Wheel lights are covered for 12 months from purchase when they are installed by the guide and registered within 30 days of your order. Unused wheel lights qualify for return within 30 days of receiving your order, with a 15% restocking fee, and return shipping is on you. See the warranty and the refund policy.
